The Brief: The entrance wall was moved a few months prior, creating a large courtyard leading up to the front door. The client wanted to create a classical look with a Mediterranean theme, so we made use of lavender, rosemary, citrus and other varieties that would create a similar look. Planting was all in shades of pink, lilac, purple & white.
The front door was not center with the new entrance gate, which made it tricky to create some symmetry. In order to balance the area out, we constructed a low planter along the garage wall and installed a birdbath in the center of the area. The birdbath draws attention away from the front door.
