The Brief: The house was bought as an investment and to be rented out. The garden budget was limited but the client also understood that the garden must be practical and user friendly in order to attract quality tenants. The main covering was artificial lawn with a large firepit area.
The seating for the firepit was constructed by using 500mm x 500mm gabion walls with a Belau wood coping.
Plants were kept to a minimum, with only a few tree aloes & Fever trees for height. A rainwater harvesting system with storage tanks & booster pump system was also installed. The pump was connected to a drip irrigation system to the few plants used in the design.
