The Brief: The young owners required the landscaping of the pavement area as a first phase. They have a corner plot and wanted to do something that is completely different and modern. We suggested blue concrete stone as a base and then minimal planting of saltbush (Rhagodia hastata). The saltbush is kept as small round balls and planted in custom made metal planters. The metal planters were treated first to encourage rusting in order to create that stunning rusty brown contrast with the blue/grey stone chip.
