Ampath Laboratories N1 City

Commercial project rooftop gardens, irrigation and maintenance in extent 325 m², Berms & open area landscaping 1500m², Terraforce walls 178m².  The client wanted an indigenous garden that would blend in with the endemic Cape Fynbos & coastal vegetation. The existing sandy soil of the site suited this choice of vegetation perfectly. Due to the exposure of the rooftop gardens to the prevailing south easterly winds together with the limited planting depth available, special care had to be taken during the selection of plants and soil mixture to be used. The plants used were to be large enough to blend in with those planted in the open ground, but still be able to survive in a very shallow layer of soil.

Everglen, Durbanville installation of 5,000 litre water collection system and irrigation, utilizing existing natural water spring.    We installed a system that collected the spring water into a large tank, installed a booster pump and automated irrigation system.  The pump was connected to the existing irrigation system, two outside taps were also installed as well as an outlet to fill the swimming pool.  This sufficiently waters the 400m² garden.

Our client in Vygeboom, Durbanville retained us to create a focal point along his boundary wall at his swimming pool.  This was performed using the elements of pots.

Deli Spice Design

Our corporate client wanted to create an inviting entrance to their factory and office premises in Epping Industria.  The challenges with this project included a large concrete slab and the need for access and airflow to the gas storage area.  These challenges rendered it impossible to use large plants or trees.  As a result, we made use of hard landscape elements such as wooden trellises, pots and large stone.

Helderberg Manor

Helderberg Manor retirement village is situated within the greater Heritage Park estate in Somerset West.  This upmarket village is under ongoing development by Devmark Construction, and maintains a strict garden policy whereby only indigenous vegetation is permitted.  This ensures uniformity across the estate, while attracting numerous indigenous insects and bird species.  More than 100 units in this estate are already occupied.

Trees Online is the appointed landscaper for all new garden installations and irrigation thereto. In addition, Trees Online is the appointed gardening maintenance contractor for all residential units and public open spaces within the estate.  We manage the full range of maintenance services from mowing of lawns, weeding of flowerbeds, chemical control of weeds, trimming of trees and servicing of drainage channels and retention ponds.  We also maintain and repair the automated irrigation and borehole system.

The owner of this rental home wanted minimal maintenance but still wanted it to look good for when they move in over few years. We used a combination of hard elements i.e. stone, gabion walls & pavers were used to cover most of surface. Dark blue/grey stone was selected for the gabion walls in order to create some contrast with the brown stone chip, used as the main ground cover. Focal plants such as fever trees, tree aloes & cone bushes were used to bring in colour and to soften the hard landscape. Artificial lawn was installed to further lower the future maintenance of the garden. An automated drip irrigation system was installed and together with the carefully selected waterwise plants, this garden will have a very low water requirement with minimal maintenance. 350m² in extent, this was a complete landscaping of the garden.  The house is located in Oakwood, Durbanville.

This home is located in Welgemoed, we were retained to renovate the garden.  Our client is a professional individual and, due to work commitments, required a low maintenance, maximum impact garden.

50m² project in Uitzicht, Durbanville to re-landscape the family courtyard.  Due to the pre-existing steep slope to the boundary wall, two levels were created for an upper terrace vegetable and herb garden, with the lower terrace acting as an outdoor extension to the entertainment area.

This large rear garden in Stellenberg, Durbanville totalling 300m² received an upgrade when the new owners requested an outside fire pit and lawn play area.  Large areas were covered with an old concrete slab and flagstone tiles used to cover the slab, creating a cosy courtyard feel.  The raised area was also increased to create an upper level lawn play area.

This client required minimal maintenance detail added to his front entrance.  The extent of this project is 15m² and is in Kleinbron Park, Sonstraal Heights.
